At SLAVA, we offer dance tuition for children as young as 2.5 years old up to adults, accompanied by a multitude of performance opportunities for all dancers.
About Ukranian Dance
Ukrainian Dance is an energetic, entertaining and vibrant dance style. Ukraine has many cultural regions, each of them with their own dance style, music and costumes.
Origins
Originating from folk sources and influenced by elements of classical, character and contemporary dance, SLAVA has developed its own style in the genre of Ukrainian Dance.
Movements
The unique and athletic men’s tricks originate from the Ukrainian Martial Art- Hopak which dates back to the 13th century. The women’s dance movements include a broad range of gracious movements and intricate combinations, which are often combined with high-speed spins, turns and twirls.
All are welcome
Children and adults with or without dance experience are welcome to dance with us!
