Working Together

SLAVA is interested in developing cultural connections with both Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian organisations, communities and individuals.

SLAVA supports charitable organisations which assist Ukrainians in need both locally and internationally.

SLAVA’S cultural collaborations have included:

  • With the support of and in conjunction with the Assistant to the Premier, The Honorable Jing Lee and the Ukrainian Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SA) Inc. SLAVA hosted the captain and crew of an Antonov Air Cargo flight during their stay in Adelaide. Antonov Airlines based in Kyiv, Ukraine, design, build and operate some of the world’s largest freight aircraft and are a part of the Ukrainian Aircraft Corporation.
  • A collaboration with The City of West Torrens Library and the Ukrainian Women’s Association in South Australia to showcase an evening of Ukrainian song, dance and cuisine to the wider Australian community.
  • In conjunction with the renown Sydney based bandurist, Laryssa Kovalchuk and Geelong’s highly skilled Ukrainian Martial Arts Group, SLAVA presented a showcase of Ukrainian song, dance, martial arts, pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) and Ukrainian folk art at the 2019
    Medieval Fair.
  • As part of the 2019 OzAsia Arts Festival and in association with the Persian Association of South Australia, SLAVA dancers performed in the Silk Road Caravenserai Concert at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.
